I am a Python and Django engineer based in Berlin. For many years I have been building digital services, web-based applications and data processing tools. My experience ranges from implementing complex websites to the conception, development and ongoing technical evolution of long-term products.

I support projects end to end — from technical conception through development to deployment and operations. DevOps work such as Linux infrastructure and automating deployment processes is part of my everyday work too.

My focus is on pragmatic, maintainable and sustainable solutions.

A web application for influencer and social media monitoring. Influencers could link their social media accounts to the application, allowing relevant metrics to be collected and analyzed. Data retrieved via APIs — such as reach, followers, posts and interactions — was centrally processed and presented in a clear overview. This allowed suitable influencers to be selected specifically based on their performance, reach and the channels they use.

Special features: Backend and frontend communicate through a GraphQL interface; real-time updates are handled via WebSockets.

Help portal for a major online classifieds platform

Help portal for private and business users of a major online classifieds platform, implemented with Django-CMS.

Special features: Full-text search was implemented using Elasticsearch to deliver fast, relevant results even across large volumes of content.

Relaunch of a cosmetics brand with content marketing

Django-CMS

Relaunch of an international cosmetics brand's website with a focus on content marketing, implemented with Django-CMS. In addition, a customer loyalty program was integrated, allowing users to upload receipts in their personal account, collect points and later redeem them for products.

Special features: A central product database was connected to various sales platforms.

Appointment book for hairdressing salon

Django, iCal

Appointment booking system for a hairdressing salon with an online calendar for multiple branches, shift scheduling for employees and a minimal cash register system. In addition, internal reports and statistics were integrated to analyze revenue by branch and service category, among other things, and to present other relevant business metrics.

Special features: Appointments are automatically dispatched via e-mail using iCal, including automatic appointment reminders.

Financial news tool

Django, REST, OpenAPI

Central system for managing financial news, distributed via various feeds (RSS, JSON, XML), including feed-specific display of images and HTML as well as custom features for individual customers.

Special features: The feed API is documented via OpenAPI specs.
